"AWESOME THREESOME"

FIFE VINEYARDS • THE BRANDER VINEYARD • RUDD ESTATE

Dear Wine Associates:

We cordially invite you to join us on Tuesday, April 17, 2001, for what promises to be a most exciting wine seminar. We will present two great 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon "futures," the superb new Jericho Red from Rudd Estate and a special interactive selection process for a terrific Brander wine. So file your taxes on time and come for an evening of entertainment and education with the wines and guests of our "AWESOME THREESOME." Where else will you have the chance to taste BRANDER, FIFE and RUDD on April 17, 2001?!

FIFE VINEYARDS, located both in Napa Valley and Mendocino, was founded in 1991 by our long-time friend, DENNIS FIFE. Today, Dennis and his wife Karen Mac Neil Fife, a nationally featured wine lecturer and widely published food and wine writer, produce an awesome array of outstanding red wines of many varieties. Among their finest are Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel, about which Dennis will elucidate at this event. He will even treat us to a preview of their 1999 Spring Mountain Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which we will offer at "futures" prices.

THE BRANDER VINEYARD, founded in 1975 by another long-time friend FRED BRANDER, was one of the original estates established in the Santa Ynez Valley. Fred, who will be on hand this evening, has built a reputation as one of California's top Sauvignon Blanc producers and is known as "Mr. Sauvignon Blanc." He is also a master at making red Bordeaux varieties and has created an awesome 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon from his own tiny plot of 25-year-old vines on the Quinta Los Olivos vineyard. We will sample three of Fred's outstanding Sauvignon Blancs and have the opportunity to taste and purchase "futures" on his very rare 2000 Tempranillo (the main variety in the great Riojas of Spain) and the 2000 Quinta Los Olivos (whose final blend you will help to select).

THE RUDD ESTATE, formerly the Girard Winery property in the famed Oakville district of Napa Valley, was purchased in 1996 by Mr. Leslie Rudd, a food and wine entrepreneur from Wichita, Kansas. He has redesigned, remodeled and redeveloped the winery and vineyard into a precious gem that is destined to become one of the Valley's finest wine estates. The Rudd wines are crafted by the dynamic David Ramey, who is known as one of the most talented winemakers in the business. Their first releases are awesome; in fact, Robert Parker in "The Wine Advocate" has given the 1998 Jericho Canyon Vineyard Red a score of 95 and the 1998 Carneros Chardonnay a score of 91! Joining us for this evening will be Rudd's multi-talented resident Master Sommelier DAMON ORNOWSKI, who is involved in all aspects of the Rudd operation...vineyards, winemaking and marketing.
