We welcome the Fall Season to usher in a trilogy of terrific wine events, beginning with "FAMILY HARVEST" on Wednesday, October 1, 2003. (Save November 5 and December 2 to complete the trilogy.) "Family Harvest" will feature three exciting family-owned estate vineyards from three excellent appellations and their equally excellent and exciting representatives.

WHITEHALL LANE WINERY, owned by the Leonardini Family since 1993, is located in the heart of Napa Valley's Rutherford appellation, acclaimed as one of the forest viticulture regions in the world. All of their wines, too, are highly acclaimed, especially their Cabernet Sauvignons, which were recognized in Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the World as follows: December 2002 issue, 1999 Napa Valley, #5; December 2000 issue, 1997 Napa Valley Reserve, #3; December 1998 issue, 1995 Napa Valley Reserve, # 5. What a track record!!! We are delighted to welcome back Proprietor Tom Leonardini to share his current releases, including both of the Whitehall Lane 2000 Cabernet Sauvignons (Napa Valley and Reserve) and a barrel sample of the 2002 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

JUSTIN VINEYARDS, owned by Justin & Deborah Baldwin since 1981, is located in the Adelaide Valley west of Paso Robles in California's Central Coast. The Baldwins have realized their desire for their wines to be entirely estate grown, produced and bottled and they have earned the reputation for being one of the leading "boutique" producers of premium wines on the Central Coast. Their numerous accolades include the London International Wine & Spirit Competition's Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande trophy awarded to the 1994 Isosceles for the Best Blended Red Wine Worldwide and the 1997 Isosceles earned the #6 position in the 2000 issue ofthe Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the World. We are extremely pleased to welcome, for his first visit to The Wine Association, Proprietor Justin Baldwin, who will elaborate on a variety of his wines, including his 2001 Justification and a pre-release tasting of his 2001 Isosceles.

DOMAINE DE LA ROUREDE, owned by the Pujol Family since 1785(!), is located in the southeastern-most tip of France at the foot of Mount Canigou, the holy mountain of the Catalan people. The vineyards grow the grape varietals of Syrah, Grenache, Mourv6dre and Muscat and most of them are farmed organically. With the help of a small two-family distributorship owned by Christophe Convert and Sylvie Francoz, we recently discovered the exciting wines of this estate. The Pujols have produced a fascinating variety of apéritif and dessert wines from the Rivesaltes appellation of their area, several of which Christophe and Sylvie will present to us this evening.

The cost for "Family Harvest" is $36.50 per person and additional non-member reservations are $39.50 per person. Your payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets are issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for full refund is September 29.
