Dear Wine Associates:

We are both proud and pleased to invite all of you to join us for our 32nd annual SUPER SEMINAR on Tuesday, December 2, 2003. It's hard to believe that we have been doing this for so many years. What a line-up we have! Joining us will be Jim Clendenen, Dan Duckhorn, Michael Mondavi and Hugh Davies. Each of their wineries has played an important role in the success of the Duke of Bourbon. In fact, the Duke purchased the very first releases of Schramsberg and Robert Mondavi wines in 1969 - over 34 years ago! This event promises to be one of our greatest ever.

From AU BON CLIMAT, the fascinating Jim Clendenen will be showing four world-class Pinot Noirs. They will include our traditional December "futures" tasting of the upcoming release of 2002 Isabelle and 2002 Knox Alexander, two of the world's finest Pinot Noirs. Two outstanding Ici/La-Bas wines and the new 2001 Barham-Mendelsohn Pinot Noir complete the set.

From DUCKHORN VINEYARDS, the entertaining Dan Duckhorn will return to treat us to a focus on three decades of their Napa Valley Merlot, as well as a preview of the upcoming 2001 Three Palms Merlot and 2001 Paraduxx, their extremely popular Super-Napan Zinfandel blend.

The ROBERT MONDAVI WINERY earned its early reputation based on Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. With this in mind, our charming long-time friend Michael Mondavi has arranged a terrific presentation for this special night: four decades of some of their best Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons, including wines from the '70s, '80s, '90s and '00s! This rare opportunity will be further enhanced by a barrel sample of the recently crushed 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon fermenting juice!

What would this wonderful night be without SCHRAMSBERG champagnes?! From Napa Valley's premiere producer of méthode champenoise sparkling wines, we are delighted to welcome enthusiastic General Manager/Winemaker Hugh Davies, son of Schramsberg's founders Jack & Jamie Davies. A sampling of their delicious wines, including a 10-year-old J. Schram, their tête de cuvée, will help us toast the Holiday Season in fine style.
