With great pleasure, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, September 8, 1999, as we present "DINNER WITH JIM CLENDENEN... at POSTO" featuring the wines of Il Podere Dell'Olivos, Vita-Nova and Borgo Buon Natale. Our good friend Jim Clendenen is best known, perhaps, as the proprietor and winemaker extraordinaire of the Au Bon Climat winery in Santa Maria, California. His stunning Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays are among the best produced anywhere in the world.

Jim, however, has never been known to rest on his laurels. As a true artist in the world of winemaking, he continuously experiments with a myriad of other varietals and produces an amazing array of classic and unique wines which he bottles under his other labels. Il Podere Dell'Olivos and Borgo Buon Natale highlight Italian varietals grown and produced in California, some on Jim's own estate vineyard in Santa Maria. Vita-Nova features a combination of French and Italian varietals, often produced in unique and exciting blends with proprietary Latin names.

The wines planned for this evening are exciting, creative, inventive, well-made and just plain delicious! And our guest, Jim Clendenen, is warm, brilliant, personable, loquacious and just plain fun! You're sure to enjoy tasting, listening and learning about these superb wines that are destined to become as famous as those more familiar to you.

Our dinner this evening has been created by world-class restaurateur Piero Selvaggio and the chefs of his excellent Posto restaurant to complement Jim's intriguing wines. To maintain an atmosphere of intimacy, this event will be held in Posto's lovely Wine Cellar Garden Room and will be limited to 60 people. We encourage you to make your reservations promptly.

The cost for this "Dinner with Jim Clendenen" is $75.00 each for the member and the first guest, all inclusive; additional guest and non-member reservations are $80.00 each.
