With the greatest of pleasure, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, December 1, 1999, as we present the last Wine Association event of the 20th-Century -- SUPER SEMINAR XXVIII "Let's Celebrate the Millennium!" -- with our traditional line-up of truly super guests. Each of our super-knowledgeable and super-creative guests has worked with us to make this Millennium celebration uniquely special. We'll show five brand new wines! We'll show three wines from the great 1997 vintage! We'll lead two blending sessions! We'll preview new vintages of several already famous wines! And, we have several more super treats planned! So, be here!

Let's Celebrate the Millennium with JAMIE DAVIES of SCHRAMSBERG, America's premier producer of methode champenoise sparkling wines. Our delightful friend Jamie and her late husband, Jack, were true pioneers of the modern-day wine scene. She has been a guest at our events for over 25 years. To continue the tradition, Jamie is back with two super new champagnes: the special Schramsberg "Celebrate the Millennium" 1995 Blanc de Noirs created exclusively for this historic occasion and, after an absence of six years, the long-awaited return of the fabulous Schramsberg Reserve!

Let's Celebrate the Millennium with DUCKHORN's ever popular proprietor DAN DUCKHORN, who once again brings excitement to the Super Seminar by giving us the opportunity to help create a Duckhorn wine. For his "Assemblage Presentation," Dan will bring the three components that will comprise his super-Napan 1998 Paraduxx wine. We will taste each component separately, then "assemble" them into what possibly could be the final blend selected by the winery. In addition, we will be tasting three super 1997 Duckhorn red wines, including the famed Three Palms Merlot and the dynamic Estate Merlot!

Let's Celebrate the Millennium with AU BON CLIMAT's inimitable JIM CLENDENEN, who has always given us a peek of his great "Isabelle" Pinot Noir at the Super Seminar. This year, in addition to previewing the 1998 "Isabelle" Pinot Noir, we will have the honor of introducing his latest gem, "Knox Alexander" 1998 Pinot Noir, created in honor of Jim & Morgan Clendenen's new son. As an added treat, Jim will lead us in blending the two components of the Knox Alexander, the first Clendenen Estate Pinot Noir. Plus, we will introduce two of Jim's new white wines: 1998 Hildegard, which emulates the famed great white Burgundies of Charlemagne in the 9th Century, and the first-ever ICI/LA-BAS-Chardonnay produced from grapes grown in Mendocino County, California.

The cost for this seminar is $35.00 each for the member and the first guest. Additional guest and non-member reservations are $39.00 each. Full payment must accompany you reservation.
