We are pleased to invite you to join us on Wednesday, May 26, 2004, as we welcome four special "FRIENDS" from four very special wineries to help us "CELEBRATE" the DUKE OF BOURBON'S 37TH ANNIVERSARY! Yes, it was 37 years ago, on May 1, 1967, that we opened our store at the corner of Roscoe and De Soto in Canoga Park.

It is especially meaningful that our good friends BOB LONG and SANDI BELCHER will be joining us from LONG VINEYARDS, as they, too, are celebrating a milestone with the release of their 25th Anniversary Wines! Yes, it was 1977 when Bob, Zelma and Sandi created their beautiful winery high upon Pritchard Hill in Napa Valley . . . and how joyfully all of us have appreciated their liquid treasures for all of these years. Along with the wonderful selection of new and future Long Vineyards releases, we will have the opportunity to taste the ARNS 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, a side project of Sandi's and her partner John Arns. This wine has garnered rave reviews and will, once again, prove that many outstanding Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons were produced in the year 2000.

Another highlight of this special celebration will be our showcasing of the outstanding wines of DIAMOND CREEK VINEYARDS. Founded by long-time friends (for over 30 years) AL & BOOTS BROUNSTEIN, Diamond Creek has created some of Napa Valley's finest Cabernet Sauvignons. We are hopeful that Al & Boots will be able to join us this evening, but we are certain that their very personable son, PHIL ROSS, will be on hand to treat us to a preview of their eagerly anticipated 2002 Cabernet Sauvignons, which we will be offering on "future."

To round out this celebration, we are excited that our long-time friend DOUG MARGERUM from Santa Barbara will return to share his up-coming new releases, which are already receiving critical acclaim and they haven't even been bottled! Doug sure knows his "stuff" and his "garagiste" philosophy of producing hand-crafted, small lots of extremely high quality has proven to be wildly successful. All of Doug's wines will be available to purchase on "future."

The cost for our "CELEBRATING WITH FRIENDS" seminar is $39.00 per person for the member and one guest; additional guest and non-member reservations are $44.00 per person. Full payment must accompany your reservation. No tickets are issued; you will be notified if your reservation cannot be accepted. Cancellation deadline for full refund is May 25. While bread and cheese will be served, we recommend that you have dinner prior to the event. The Marriott's remodeled Parkside Restaurant has re-opened and has a very nice new menu.
