We tasted a selection of Drouhin 2006 Burgundies last week at our Wine Association seminar and we were once again reminded that Maison Joseph Drouhin produces some of the finest wines coming from that part of the wine world. We started out with the Saint-Veran and Chorey-les-Beaune as aperitifs. Sensational! And things only improved from there!! Our guest, Laurent Drouhin, great-grandson of Joseph, led us through a tour of Burgundy with their wines as guideposts. Burgundy lovers are fortunate to have another fine vintage at hand. The last decade has produced an unusual string of really good vintages and 2006 continues the trend. Considering the economic changes, i.e. euro vs. the dollar, prices have not risen that much.
