We were able to secure more of the fabulous Lucia 2007 Pinot Noir, Garys' Vineyard, after our great success with the first email.

The Duke is still flipping over this wine. Robert Parker scored it 95 points and said, "The outrageously sumptuous, complex 2007 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard is a compelling example of Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Sumptuous aromas of kirsch, black raspberries, fresh mushrooms, and forest floor are very Burgundian as well as intense. In the mouth, the wine is full and beautifully concentrated with silky tannins and a long finish. Drink this sensational Pinot over the next 5-8+ years. "

Lucia winery is owned by Gary Pisoni and the winemaker is his son, Jeff Pisoni. Garys' Vineyard is owned by two Garys, Gary Pisoni and Gary Franscioni, who are lifelong friends. Notes from the winery describe Lucia 2007 Pinot Noir, Garys' Vineyard as a dark garnet red. The very expressive aromatics display intense purity. Fresh-cut flowers, blackberries, allspice and forest floor notes entice the taster. On the palate, the wine has great density and complexity of flavors. The ripe tannins are supple, and they unfold in layers with nice acidity for a very long finish...Duke's price - $49.99 per bottle...that's $299.94 a 6-pack.
