Dinner at PANZANELLA
Featuring The Tedeschi Winery of Valpolicella
with

Special Guest: Riccardo Tedeschi

Dear Wine Associates:

We are pleased to present another wonderful wine dinner at Panzanella Ristorante in Sherman Oaks and we cordially invite members of The Wine Association to join us on Wednesday, June 25, 2008, for "Dinner Featuring The Tedeschi Winery of Valpolicella".

THE TEDESCHI WINERY was founded in 1824 by Nicolò Tedeschi in the province of Verona, Italy, of which Valpolicella is a viticultural zone. Over the past 80 years, Tedeschi has become famous for their Valpolicella and Amarone wines, which are made from four grape varietals: CorvinaVeronese, Rondinella, Molinara and Negrara. Their Valpolicellas are light, fruity, accessible, wellstructured and elegant. Their Amarones are known for their intensity and complexity and considered to be the most prestigious wines of the region. What makes them special is that, once the grapes are picked from the vine, they are laid to rest on mats to dry for three or four months to concentrate the sugars and the flavors, then pressed. The resulting wines, which may be finished either dry or sweet, are unique, powerful, supple and elegant with lush, dark fruits, a wealth of substance and perfect balance.

We are delighted to welcome as our special guest RICCARDO TEDESCHI who, along with his two sisters, is a fifth-generation Tedeschi. As an oenologist, Riccardo, a.k.a Riki, continues the family traditions of producing outstanding Valpolicellas and their most highly sought-after Amarones. The family feels that each of their wines must not only be as good as possible, but also as personal as it can, having its own style and a clearly distinguishable character, a genuine "Tedeschi trademark." In order to achieve this objective, they try to comply with the wine's nature in every phase of working, from the vineyard to the cellar, without ever trying to substitute nature or its laws in any way.

Tanino Drago and his brothers Cologero and Giacomino have established PANZANELLA RISTORANTE as one of the San Fernando Valley's finest dining destinations. CHEF TANINO is extremely pleased to welcome back The Wine Association to continue our tradition of outstanding wine dinners and he has created an exciting menu to complement the excellent Tedeschi wines. This is certain to be a memorable evening.
