"AFFORDABLE 2005 BORDEAUX"

Dear Wine Associates:

It is our pleasure to invite you to join us on Thursday, September 25, 2008, at our next exciting seminar featuring an array of "AFFORDABLE 2005 BORDEAUX." Yes, you read correctly, "affordable" and "Bordeaux" in the same sentence! The 2005 vintage in Bordeaux is already legendary. It is being compared to historical vintages such as 2000, 1982 and 1961. Well- known wine writer Robert Parker described it as ". . . an extraordinary vintage and one that is different from anything I have tasted in the last twenty-eight years. . . . a distinctive vintage that will probably be one of the longest-lived I have ever tasted."

Unfortunately, most of the top growths have sky-rocketed in price to the point that the average collector has not been able to purchase them. Many of the wines from the châteaux that we have featured over the past 30-40 years are selling for many hundreds of dollars and some even in the thousands. With this in mind, the DUKE has been offering other fine, highly-rated 2005 Bordeaux at affordable prices. This program has been super successful and our customers have been thrilled. We have had great demand for a Wine Association seminar featuring more of these outstanding wines. So, here it is - a tasting tour showcasing the 2005 vintage in many of the finest Bordeaux appellations.

To help guide us on this "tour" will be STEVE WINFIELD of LiquidLinks, LLC, who is a very successful importer and extremely knowledgeable on the wines of Bordeaux. Our carefully chosen list will include wines from 13 different appellations throughout the Bordeaux region. Almost all of the wines were rated 90 points or higher by Robert Parker or the Wine Spectator and several were called "Sleeper of the Vintage" by Parker. Many of these wines have high pedigrees. Château d'Armaillac is from the Mouton-Rothschild family, Clos du Marquis is from Leoville-Las Cases, and Château du Tertre is from the Château Giscours family. Several of the other wines come from very highly respected owners.
