It is a sincere pleasure to present another wonderful wine dinner at Panzanella Ristorante in Sherman Oaks and we cordially invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, for "Dinner Featuring the Wines of Villa Sandi and The Frescobaldi Family."

VILLA SANDI, which dates back to 1622, is located in the Veneto region of Italy at the foot of the Maria Trevigiana hills between the D.O.C. areas of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and Montello e Piave. Today it is owned by the Moretti Polegato family, now in its third generation of winemaking. Their wines are considered among the finest in both Italy and the world. We are pleased to be showing three of their superb white wines this evening, including two of their versatile Proseccos.

The MARCHESI DE FRESCOBALDI is one of the most important wine producers in all of Italy with nine estates. Headquartered in Tuscany, the family has been in the wine trade for more than 700 years. Tonight, we will feature two of their top Chiantis and two of their famous Super Tuscan wines from three of their estates - Castello Nipozzani, Tenuta di Castiglioni and Tenuta dell'Ornellaia - plus Frescobaldi's Vendemmia Tardiva, a very rare and unique late-harvest wine made from Chardonnay, Traminer Aromatico, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Grigio.

We are delighted to welcome ED MAASS, a partner in Michael Mondavi's Folio Wine Company which imports these wines, to share his insights into these two world-famous wine estates. Ed is a long-time friend of the DUKE and is extremely knowledgable about the wines of Italy.

Brothers Tanino Drago and Giacomino Drago, Chefs and Co-owners of PANZANELLA RISTORANTE, have created a beautiful menu to complement the excellent Italian wines we are featuring. The Dragos' cuisine and service are always excellent and we know you will enjoy this delicious evening.
