The largest and warmest of the three vineyards, has gray soil with the consistency of volcanic ash. The wines from this vineyard seem to be the longest-lived of the Diamond Creek wines.
Winery Notes: "Ruby in color exhibiting a nose of cedar with characters of cassis, spice and plums. There are bold notes of vanilla bean mingled with toasted-oak and a touch of smoke. Rich cassis and dark fruit are complemented against a background of vanilla bean and warmed spices. The wine is very well balanced with great structure. Excellent wine with a long finish that will only get better."
