Hundred Acre 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortunate Son

Hundred Acre 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortunate Son

Every Year we are impatient to receive our allocation of Fortunate Son!

Every Year, it is a beauty!

Our Impressions:

Another sublime Cabernet Sauvignon from Jason Woodridge and Philippe Melka. I do have a weakness for all Hundred Acre wines. Each of them displays their own beautiful characteristics and the 2012 Fortunate Son is no exception and offers an outstanding quality with a great value as the entry price is half the price of Hundred Acre main vineyards Cabernets.

The nose is big and voluptuous, the aromas are full of dark berries with a blackcurrant dominance, five spice, well structured and silky tannins. All the components are present to satisfy the most difficult wine aficionado!

This wine is a must try! Pair with a Bone in Ribeye 100 days dry aged! Take advantage of this offering today and order your bottle or your three pack before it is all gone.

Cheers and Bon Appetit!

Wine Advocate, Robert Parker's Notes, 97Pts:

"As for the Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines, there is the blend called Fortunate Son, and the 2012 edition is still in barrel. It displays opulence in its wonderfully sweet, pure blackberry and black currant fruit along with some earthiness, spice box, graphite and background oak. This is fleshy, rich, broad, and certainly capable of lasting another 10-15 years."
