90 Points by Robert Parker:
Hyde Vineyards is situated on gently rolling hills. Chardonnay variety, which we grow most of, is facing South-East. The soil is about 36 inches deep, and the subsoil is impenetrable clay. Summer temperatures are cooled by its proximity to San Pablo Bay and by the fog. Ancient creekbeds provide drainage to the red clay loam, and add a scattering of rocks. The new plantings are spaced 5.5 x 7 feet, and the rows are oriented North-South.
