Happy New Year!!! We had an exciting 1998 and thank all of you for your great support of our store. We will continue to bring you the finest wines available as we head into the New Millennium.
Champagne-Shortage Controversy

Will there be a shortage of Champagne and sparkling wine as we head into the year 2000? We're not sure. Other than some of the finest prestige cuvées, like Cristal, Dom Perignon, Bollinger R.D., J. Schram, etc., we feel there should be an adequate supply. However, many of the producers, suppliers and news media are contending that shortages will occur. If there is a run on the market to buy up large quantities of Champagne and sparkling wines, perhaps their predictions will come true.

If you are concerned that you may not have your favorite sparklers for your Millennium celebration, the "Duke" has a solution: purchase your selections now and we will be happy to store them for you until November 1, 1999. Beginning in February, we will have a list of our premium Champagnes and sparkling wines for your perusal and selection. It will be posted on the Internet at dukeofbourbon.com and updated every 15 days. Of course, it will be available in the store or by FAX, if requested.
