Once in 10 or 20 years, a very special vintage comes along in particular wine growing regions. 1994 was that special year for outstanding wines produced on the West Coast of the United States. Jim Clendenen, owner/winemaker of Au Bon Climat Winery in Santa Maria, California, has produced many awesome wines from the 1994 vintage. One of the most special is the 1994 Ici/Las-Bas Pinot Noir 'La Cagoule', produced from grapes grown at the Montinore Vineyard in Oregon. This incredibly opulent, rich wine is spectacular. It is a cellar-worthy wine that is also quite drinkable in its youth. Packaged in a special extra-heavy bottle, this wine will be a rewarding purchase for both collectors and drinkers. It is available at the 'Futures' price as shown through May 15, 1996.

Bo and Jim Barrett have done it again! Their Chateau Montelena 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon, The Montelena Estate is a spectacular wine! It is also their 20th Cabernet Sauvignon vintage (1972-1992). This very expressive Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby-red/deep purple in color and, as Robert Parker puts it, '...it is followed by a sweet, jammy nose of black fruit and minerals, huge body, a sweet inner-core of ripe fruit, and a long, low acid, opulent finish. Rich and full, this Cabernet is destined for 20+ years of gorgeous drinking. 95+'. We agree! Sold only in our special 'Duke's Montelena Combo Pack'!
1993 Zinfandel, Estate - $12.00
We are very impressed with this great wine at a great value. The Chateau Montelena 1993 Zinfandel, Estate is brick red in color, has a spicy/peppery nose with hints of berry, and a superbly soft, lush feel in the mouth with a profusion of fruit and silky texture...delicious! It is drinking well now and will age beautifully for 3-5 years.
