A "Duke" California Exclusive!
We are proud to introduce "Celebrate the Millennium" by Schramsberg, a most special Blanc de Noirs created exclusively for the merchants of the Wine and Spirits Guild of America.
Schramsberg Vineyards in Calistoga, California, is considered America's premier producer of méthode champenoise sparkling wine. The Duke of Bourbon is doubly pleased: 1) to be the only California member of the prestigious Wine and Spirits Guild of America, a national organization comprised of the country's finest independent wine and spirits merchants; and 2) to have been instrumental in the creation of a totally unique Schramsberg cuvée for a truly historic occasion.
As shown in the photo to the right, our Ron Breitstein joined Schramsberg's General Manager Mike Reynolds and Winemaker Hugh Davies to create the Guild's exclusive cuvée by selecting a special dosage for a very limited amount of their 1995 Blanc de Noirs. This world-class wine was produced primarily from Pinot Noir and aged on the yeast for over three years.
We are certain that those of you with discriminating taste will want to toast the dawning of the Third Millennium with this unique and delicious "Celebrate the Millennium" cuvée. A great gift idea!

tannins, and a long pleasant finish.

This new release opens with aromas of fresh ripe pineapple, sweet honeydew,
pear, vanilla and crisp citrus notes of lemon and lime zest. The flavor has
lush mouthfilling fruit with nice tartness and a hint of wood that adds tex-
ture followed by a long, rich finish.

This "Super Napan" blend of 65% Zinfandel and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas
of plum, black cherry, mocha, raspberry pie filling, strawberry and vanilla with
hints of cedar, chocolate, hazelnuts and cinnamon. The mouthfeel is rich and
extremely viscous, with flavors of butterscotch, crème brulée, cola nut, black-
berries and currants. The finish is loaded with fruit flavors and vanillin.

The Fonseca 1997 Vintage Port is a spectacular wine with lots of lovely fruit and a smooth finish that will continue to develop over the years! The Wine Spectator gave it a score of 95-100 in its initial barrel tasting.
The Taylor Fladgate 1997 Vintage Port also possesses loads of fruit and is in a typically slightly bigger style than the Fonseca. This wine will definitely age well. The Wine Spectator rated it 90-94 in its initial barrel tasting.

To initiate a dazzling and unique celebration of the Third Millennium, the Champagne House of Louis Roederer has created the magnificent Vintage 1990 "Cristal 2000." Only 2000 of these gorgeous methuselahs (equal to 8 bottles) were produced with the year "2000" embossed on each gem-like bottle.
The Champagne was aged in these special methuselahs for many years. Each bottle was wrapped in Cristal's traditional yellow cellophane and nested in an extraordinarily elegant custom wooden case for shipment to the lucky few who had reserved their bottles years ago. Only a limited number arrived in the United States.

What a spirit! This is, without a doubt, the finest brandy/cognac we have ever tasted! It was produced on an antique cognac still in Ukiah, California, by the famed house of Germain-Robin. Master distiller Hubert Germain-Robin, whose family produced cognac in France for two centuries, uses patient, time-honored methods in creating his alambic brandies, which are regarded as among the finest distilled spirits in the world.
The Anno Domini 2000 was hand-distilled from exceptional world-class Pinot Noirs, with a touch of old-vine Palomino, the grape of Sherry. Bottled at cask strength, 41.2% alcohol by volume, the Anno Domini is extraordinarily rich in flavor, yet remains subtle and delicate, passing like silk over the palate. Only 1200 bottles were produced for the historic Millennium celebration.
